Performing Arts Physical Therapy was founded by Sean Gallagher and opened its doors in 1990. The first of its kind, PAPT was known for providing physical therapy and pilates, and has been providing physical therapy to almost 200 Broadway shows since then. This is the second oldest version that I’ve found that references the 10-20-30 quote, so often attributed to Joe Pilates, yet never actually proven to have come from him. This article is from 1994, and states the quote a bit differently than how we typically state it today. This article reads, “after 10 workouts, those following his method would start to notice a change in their bodies; after 20, friends would notice, and after 30 they would have entirely different bodies.”
