We will be offering two Fundamentals Prerequisite Workshops in 2016, for the 2017 Teacher Training Program.
Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm
The application process for the Teacher Training program begins with the prerequisite workshop, Fundamentals of BodyTonic Teacher Training with Jennifer DeLuca. In this workshop, you will learn about the program and test drive your own desire to learn the art of teaching Pilates.
This workshop includes a tower class, interview, basic anatomy and practice teaching to test drive your desire and our approach.
Should you decide to pursue the program, the certification includes Beginner and Intermediate systems, with an optional and additional weekend seminar in the Advanced system at a separate cost. You will learn the Reformer, Cadillac, Chairs, Barrels, Pedi-pole, and Pilates Mat exercises. In total, trainees are expected to complete 500 practice hours. These are made up of seminar time and independent study time including observations, session time, practice teaching time and self practice. These hours are to be completed at BodyTonic Pilates Gymnasium, Rhinebeck Pilates or other previously approved studio.
If you are unable to attend a Fundamentals Workshop and would like to join the Teacher Training Program, a private session interview with Elaine Ewing or Jennifer DeLuca may be scheduled and accepted as a replacement.
