Private Pilates Session
 
 


A personal pilates session that focuses on your individual needs and goals. With continual support and guidance students will utilize all the pilates equipment including the Tower, Reformer, Chair and Barrel.

Duet and/or Trio Session
 
 


Similar to the private session the duet and trio are ideal for 2-3 people, at similar levels, to work out together with one instructor. Students will utilize all of the pilates equipment, including the Tower, Reformer, Chairs, and Barrels.

Tower Class
 
 


Energizing, mindful, and flowing, these classes combine the resistance of the springs and bars of the tower with the precise movements of mat work to create one of the best workouts of the mind and body that exists today. With only five students per class, a tower class is an economical way to experience pilates on the equipment while also benefiting from the expert eye of the instructor.

If there are three students in class, we will likely also use the reformer.

Circuit Class
 
 


This is an excellent class for anyone who wants to try a new type of class that utilizes many pieces of equipment.  Class consists of a warm up on the mat and tower, followed by vigorous work on the reformer, chair, and barrels.  With less supervision than a than a typical tower class, this is best for a student with pilates experience.

Pilates Mat Class
 
 


Many students find the Pilates Mat exercises the most challenging. Without the assistance of springs, the body must create its own resistance while flowing from one exercise to the next. Magic Circles, therabands, foam rollers and weights are added to create a wide variety of exercises that challenge the body and mind.

Walk-ilates Class

 
 


Improper walking and running biomechanics are the main causes of aches, pains, and injuries.  Walk-ilates classes begin with special releases and stretches using the foam roller, followed by Pilates Mat exercises using the magic circle and standing balances. The class then moves outside for a cardiovascular walk, where proper gait and optimal alignment are stressed.  Students are encouraged to wear their MBT shoes, though regular walking/ running sneakers are fine.

Prenatal Tower Class

 
 


Prenatal Tower classes offer a way to exercise safely and effectively in a way that is unparalleled by any other work out for pregnant women. With use of the springs and pilates equipment, you will tone, keep the body strong and flexible, and make new friends with other moms-to-be!  With the help from our friends at Waddle n Swaddle, we are so thrilled to offer these classes.

Mama with Baby Pilates

 
 


In this class, we will learn exercises that will help build the core strength, endurance, and upper body strength that new moms need to remain able to keep up with their toddlers each and every day. In addition to strengthening, pilates exercises also tone and lengthen the whole body and require little to no equipment!

Toddlers and babies are most welcome to this class. Please bring toys and books to occupy the little ones while we workout, and plan to include them in some of the exercises. Most exercises will be easy to repeat at home on your own, while the kids are playing nearby.

Each student receives a theraband for home use, as well as a list of exercises from class that can be done at home. Please bring your own mat to class. Students may opt to bring 1-2lb weights for arm work. Pilates Magic Circles and foam rollers may occassionally be provided for class.


PLEASE NOTE: This class is taught at Waddle n Swaddle, directly across the parking lot from Rhinebeck Pilates!
